Apart from the islets, Bucas Grande also has several lagoons that are worth visiting. The most popular one is the Sohoton Cove, which is known for its clear blue waters, hidden lagoon, and stunning rock formations. To get to the lagoon, you need to paddle beneath a small cave that opens up to the lagoon.

The best time to visit Bucas Grande is during the dry season, which typically starts from February and lasts until May. The weather is perfect for island hopping, swimming, snorkeling, and other outdoor activities.

To explore Bucas Grande, you can hire a boat from Socorro, which can take you to the surrounding islets, lagoons, and caves. If you prefer to go on a DIY tour, you can rent a motorbike or tricycle to get around the island. 

9. Other Activities 

Apart from island hopping, Bucas Grande also offers other activities such as kayaking, fishing, and diving. There are several dive spots around the island where you can see colorful corals, numerous fish species, and even whale sharks or thresher sharks. 

10. Food and Drinks 

Socorro has several restaurants and eateries where you can sample local Filipino cuisine and seafood dishes. Some of the most popular dishes in Bucas Grande include kinilaw, a spicy vinegar-based dish made with fresh seafood, and adobo, a classic Filipino dish made with chicken or pork braised in soy sauce and vinegar.
